Congratulations, President-Elect Shawn Fain & UAW Members United!
The UAW Monitor has called the election for Shawn Fain! We are deeply humbled and overjoyed to announce that Shawn will be the next President of the UAW, and that reformers will gain majority control of the UAW International Executive Board for the first time in history. A new day is dawning for our union.
The unofficial vote count has now concluded, with the UAW Monitor to certify official results. Results can be viewed here. We thank each and every member who participated in this unprecedented first direct election of our top leadership, and we are profoundly grateful to all the volunteers who worked so hard to elect Shawn and the UAW Members United team. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Our entire union family now needs to come together to take on the Big Three and the many other challenges facing the UAW. But we are more powerful when the membership is in the driver’s seat of our union, and this election has proved it!
